Although the first, official day of summer is June 21, it has pretty much arrived where I live. I’m actually not hugely into summer; the fall and winter months get me the most excited. However, there are a couple of products that really remind me of the summertime and I always resurface them during this time of year.
Like many volumizing mascaras, Mally’s Volumizing Waterproof Mascara is no different with its claims to create thick, voluminous lashes. I have used many, many volumizing mascaras in my lifetime and I find that they are really hit or miss. This particular mascara has great reviews, so how did Mally’s mascara compare to the rest?
When it comes to nail polish, I am typically crazy for neons in the spring and summer. But for whatever reason, this year I have not been as into these super bright shades. Although I have been gravitating toward taupes and more neutral shades lately, this polish by Color Club called Reign in Spain was calling to me when I was cleaning out my polishes the other day.
Mally Beauty was very kind and sent me a couple of products to try out, one of which is the High-Shine Liquid Lipstick Pens. These lip glosses are supposed to be an all-in-one product that acts as lip primer, lipstick, gloss, and lip liner.
Since I am quite into skincare, I have a couple of serums that I have either used up or are about two uses away from being used up. I thought it would be a good time to give a proper review of these three products, especially since they are brands that have become quite well-known in the blogging community.
I haven’t done a Nail of the Day post in a few weeks and I wanted to share this new shade from Julep called Saaya. If you saw my last post about the May Julep Maven box, then you know that this is one of the shades I received.
Even though I am a longtime subscriber to Julep Maven, I don’t always talk about what I receive each month. However, this month Julep released their much-hyped Plié Wand, which is supposed to improve results for anyone who has trouble painting their nails neatly.
For those who don’t know, Julep Maven is a $20/month subscription service, similar to Birchbox and Ipsy. The Julep boxes typically contain 2 nail polishes and an additionally beauty product.
Usually in the springtime I am all about brights and pastels, but this year have I been preferring something a bit more muted or dark. In the past I loved to go crazy and put neons on my toenails, but this spring I have been gravitating toward darker polishes because I feel like if I do wear something brighter on my hands it won’t clash.
I change up my makeup pretty regularly, so it’s rare for me to be reaching for the same products over and over. But, lately there have been up a couple of things that I have been looking to use on a regular basis.
Cargo recently redesigned the packaging of their Essential Lip Gloss. This lip gloss is formulated to be long-lasting, non-sticky, and moisturizing. It contains jojoba oil and vitamin E to not only hydrate lips, but to decrease the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.
