Twinings Decaffeinated Chai Tea

twinings_decafchai

As an everyday drinker of coffee and tea, I have newly decided that I should switch to decaf. It’s difficult, mainly because most of the flavored coffees and teas are not decaffeinated! Recently I visited Walt Disney World, where I purchased Twinings Decaffeinated Chai at The Tea Caddy in EPCOT.

This tea is described as being “perfectly balanced with sweet and savoury flavours of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger.” It is definitely aromatic the second you open the box; it smells like Christmas!

I prepared the chai as directed, adding water and bit a of milk (I used So Delicious Coconut Milk in Original). Although Twinings describes this tea as having some sweet flavors, I could only detect the spice. In fact, I had to sweeten it a bit with honey. I did find some of the spices to be a bit overpowering, particularly the cinnamon. But overall, I did quite like this tea and it makes me yearn for the Autumn months.

One other thing that I love about this chai tea, is that it is all natural. Many accessible brands are typically naturally and artificially flavored. Not only do I try and stay away from artificial flavoring (and sweeteners), but they also taste phony. Twinings definitely tastes completely natural and normal.

Availability: Twinings, $3.29.

What are you favorite types of tea?

This tea looks tasty! I have been into Bigelow’s organic Green Tea. It tastes good alone, but I like to add a little flavor to it with brown sugar or honey. The thing with Bigelow is it has caffeine. I’ve been looking for decaf tea. I should try this one!

I feel like I have seen a decaf version of their green tea. I know for sure that English Teatime comes in decaf because I have it in my pantry haha.
