Trend: Sangria for S/S ’13

One of the big beauty trends for Spring and Summer 2013 is sangria. Although this berry color is traditionally more prominent during the Autumn and Winter months, it is being incorporated into makeup this season. However, if you are going to wear sangria this season, there is a correct way to do it.

In order to make sangria suitable for Spring and Summer this year, you must be careful that whatever products you are wearing are sheer; a fully opaque lipstick is going to be too much. One great option is to opt for a lipgloss. But, if you are like me, and dislike lipgloss, the perfect product would be a tinted lip balm or lip stain.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush

My favorite lip product that offers both balm and stain properties are the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. These things are super convenient and have great staying power. (They are smell like peppermint.) The shade Crush is just right for staying on-trend this Spring and Summer.

Another product I would recommend is NARS blush in Seduction. Although this color may look intense to some, with a light hand and fluffy brush, Seduction can give a nice wash of sangria across your cheeks.

Will any of you be following this trend?
