This past weekend I was in Disney World for the Intentional Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT. 2013 marks 20 years for the festival, so Disney did not disappoint! The festival is going on now through May 19.
Here are a couple of pictures from my trip.
Topiaries from Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Beauty & the Beast (clockwise)
There were loads of topiaries all over the park, featuring characters from Lady & the Tramp, Monsters, Inc., and Toy Story. The Disney princesses were my favorite, though.
English Tea Garden
The English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London, at the United Kingdom pavilion, was definitely my favorite out of all the exhibits – mainly because I love tea. There is also a 20-minute tour of the garden offered, which I did not take, but would have loved to!
The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews
A new addition to this year’s festival were the food booths. This was a great idea! Not only do I love food, but I missed out on the International Food & Wine Festival last autumn. Now I feel like I didn’t miss out at all. I’m not usually a fan of theme park food, but the stuff at the booths was really good! My favorite was the Watermelon & Arugula Salad from the Florida Fresh booth.
Watermelon Salad, Candied Strawberries,Potato Pancake with House-made Applesauce, and Dole Whip (clockwise)
I’ve been going to Disney my entire life and I finally had my first Dole Whip. I was not a fan; the pineapple flavor was way too fake!
Has anyone ever gone to the International Flower & Garden Festival? If not, would you consider attending in the future?
