I know makeup can be expensive, but don’t worry. There are tons of affordable products out there and some of them are the same, if not better than their high-end counterpart.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E: This is the only non-makeup item in here. There is a lot of hype out there for high-end body lotions, but honestly, this one by Palmer’s is pretty good. I do buy the Fragrance Free version, because I’m not fond of the scent of the original Palmer’s; it’s too sweet for my taste.
Revlon ColorStay Foundation: Putting aside that this is a drugstore foundation, it’s actually one of my favorite foundations. And I like it more than Revlon’s newest foundation, Nearly Naked. I like to buff the ColorStay foundation into my skin using a Real Techniques Stippling Brush and I find that it gives me a good amount of coverage, but still looks natural.
Maybelline Color Tattoo: These things are amazing. I have extremely oily eyelids and I find that whether I wear the Color Tattoo’s alone or with an an eye shadow over the top, they stay put! They come in a few colors and neutrals, but this particular shade is Tough as Taupe.
BH Cosmetics Eye Shadow Palettes: I love these palettes. I mean love. First off, they are super affordable (and BH Cosmetics always seems to have a sale going on). Second, the eye shadows are really good quality and have minimal fall out. They make a lot of different varieties, but the palette shown here is the 88 Color Tropical Shimmer Palette.
Maybelline The Rocket: I know there are a lot of great drugstore mascaras, but one that I have been loving recently is Maybelline’s newest mascara, The Rocket. It’s very similar to CoverGirl’s LashBlast mascara, but I personally get on better with the Maybelline version.
NYX Blush: The blushes by NYX are really great: super pigmented, easy to blend, and have great staying power! They comes in tons of shades (the one shown here is Spice) and are only around $5.00 at Ulta!
Revlon Lipstick: Revlon lipsticks are my favorite drugstore product, although their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are a close second. They are available in so many different shades, are incredibly pigmented, and have fantastic staying power. The shade shown above is Cherries in the Snow, which has apparently been around since the 1950s.
Have you guys tried any of these products? What are you favorite budget beauty items?
