Maybelline Color Goes Electric Blush & Dream Sun Bronzing Powder

Maybelline_summer2013

Maybelline has a new collection this Summer called Color Goes Electric. The collection contains eye shadows, nail polish, lipstick, eyeliner, and of course blush. There are three blushes in the collection and I have two of them to review.

They also have an entire collection of Dream Sun Bronzers, which come in various shades and are available matte or with shimmer.

L to R: Coral Burst, Wild Blossom

Coral Burst: Coral Burst is a super bright, neon orange with subtle shimmer. This is the sort of color that has my name written all over it. Considering all of the orange blushes I already own, I don’t have one quite this bright. If you’re addicted to orange, you have to pick this up!

Wild Blossom: Wild Blossom is a mid-toned lavender with silver sparkles. This color is also much different from a lot of my other blushes. I was impressed when I wore it; the glitter doesn’t transfer too much, so it’s much more subtle. And the color, came off much pinker, so it didn’t look like I had purple cheeks.

Both of these blushes can be sheered out (as seen in the swatch below) or built up.

Bronzing Powder in Matte Medium

Dream Sun Bronzing Powder: I’m really impressed with this bronzer. I have been on the lookout for a good drugstore bronzer that didn’t seem orange and I have found it! The Dream Sun bronzers are now available in a variety of shades ranging from Light to Dark, as well as matte or shimmer finishes. Although I’m fair, I chose a medium shade because I often like my cheeks heavily made up. This bronzer reminded me a bit of Hoola by Benefit, but the medium shade was slightly darker.

Are you daring enough to wear neon blush this Spring?

Ooh, that coral blush is stunning! Love that it’s super vibrant and pigmented in the pan, but quite wearable in the swatch. Thanks for the review! xo

I love the coral blush! I might be daring enough to try it :) Wild Blossom is more subtle, but looks brighter in the pan. The bronzer looks like a must have for summer! Thanks for posting!
