Ipsy February ’14 | First Impressions

One of my favorite days of the month is when my Ipsy bag arrives in the mail! For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a $10/month subscription service where you receive about five beauty products (mainly full-size or travel size). All of the products come in a cute makeup bag, that is different each month.

I don’t always write a post about what I receive in my Ipsy bag, but this month’s bag was really nice, so I had to share! I haven’t used any of these products yet, so this is just my first impression of the overall bag.

L to R:

Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow in Spiced Rum

Pop Beauty Plump Pout in Peony Petal

City Color Me Matte Blush in Fresh Melon

Zoya Nail Polish in Odette

NuMe Intense Renewal Hair Mask

Overall, the products in the February bag have me very excited. The only thing that is just okay to me is the Zoya polish, because I don’t really go for purple too often. But this seems like a shade I may reach for during autumn, not so much spring and summer.

Apart from that, everything else seems great. I think I am the most excited about the blush and since it’s a pinky-coral, I know I will wearing this a lot during the spring and summer. I was also happy to see the Pop Beauty Plump Pout, because I have wanted to try this product for quite a while and I always eye it whenever I am shopping in Ulta. Also, I’m really looking forward to trying the Eyetini Cream Shadow because I am a huge fan of the Nailtini nail polish from the Tini Beauty brand.

I heard a few people complain that they didn’t like the actual makeup bag this month because it’s just plain pink, but I personally love it and I think it’s a nice change from the printed bags.
