I picked up a couple of new things recently from MAC. I still had a gift card from Christmas plus a Back to MAC, so I figured it was time to get a couple of new additions for spring.
At this point I have had a chance to wear everything, and I am really liking everything I purchased.
Of course I had to get a couple of blushes to feed my addiction. I don’t normally go for the Pro Palette blushes, but I have a palette sitting here so I figured I would get some more to add to it (plus buying it in palette-form is a few dollars less expensive). I picked up Fleur Power, which MAC describes as “soft bright pinkish-coral.” I would say that sort of describes it; I don’t see much coral because this blush is a bit more cool-toned. It’s more of a soft, cool-toned bubblegum pink. I’m obsessed.
The other blush I got is Springsheen, which is a neutral peach with shimmer. Another great shade! The shimmer in this is subtle once it’s applied, so it doesn’t at all look like you’re covered in glitter.
I often get bored with my eye shadow and can easily get in the habit of not wearing any, so I try to pick up a few new shades here and there. I have had Gleam in mind for a while, so I finally picked it up. Gleam is a neutral pinky-peach, similar to All That Glitters, but a bit more gold.
Lastly, I I had a Back to MAC. For those who don’t know, when you save six empty MAC containers you can bring them in to your local MAC counter or store. They let you choose a free lipstick at the counters or between a lipstick, lipgloss, or eye shadow at the actual MAC stores. I pretty much always go for lipstick, and typically I know which shade I’m picking up, but this time I really wasn’t sure. I swatched a few and decided on Sunny Seoul. This shade is a warm-toned pink, leaning a bit coral, but it still looks very natural on.
